Constructed in 1965 in Castle Hills, Texas (just outside San Antonio), the Wedgwood epitomized contemporary high-rise apartment living for seniors. The Y-shaped building offered numerous amenities, including a garden with swimming pool, restaurant, beauty salon, insurance office, grocery store, cocktail lounge, and more.

Post Oak successfully nominated the building to the National Register of Historic Places as part of its historic tax credit rehabilitation, and navigated the project to successful completion in 2020. The project involved careful preservation of the building’s unique mid-century modern features while providing significant upgrades within the units. The $33M project created modern, luxury apartments with ample amenities for San Antonio seniors.
