Grant Building

Condley and Company, LLC

Constructed in 1932, the Grant Building in downtown Abilene housed the W.T. Grant store on the first floor and offices on the upper floors. The building housed the store until the early 1960s, and was then used for office space.

The building was renovated over the years but retained historic marble floors and stairs. The $5.9M rehabilitation focused on retaining these historic elements while updating the building and systems to modern standards.

Post Oak consulted with the project team and helped to secure Texas and Federal historic tax credits for this unique brick building in Abilene.
