Millie’s on Main
Millie’s on Main is a live music venue located in downtown Elgin, Texas. Beginning in 2021, a local developer began transforming the Gulf Station / Hurst Garage, completely rebuilding a deteriorating addition and creating a backyard patio and outdoor music venue. The developer carefully worked around the existing heritage pecan tree and restored the original Gulf Station lobby and porte-cochère, as well as the garage addition.
As historic tax credit consultants, Post Oak helped navigate the historic tax application process. The rehabilitation included strategic approaches to subdividing interior spaces, creating additional egress, and the introduction of new features and finishes.
This rehabilitation was completed in 2023 and provides a new downtown destination for Elgin residents.
